Linda was born April 30, 1946 in LaGrange, GA to the late Allen Smith and Doris Maxine Browning Goodwin. She was a faithful member of Callaway Baptist Church. Linda loved to sew and making beautiful jewelry. She enjoyed her leisure time, her dogs and bright colorful flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Wiley Cofield and second husband, George Anthony Yates; her children, Sonya Cher Cofield, Michael Brandon Cofield, and Kenneth Wiley Cofield.
Survivors include her grandson, Dusty Cofield; siblings, James “Jimmy” Allen Smith, Kenneth Randall Smith, and Susan Williams; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will begin at 12:00pm until the 1:00pm Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, April 14, 2021in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Brad Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
