Larry James Scott

Larry was born March 30, 1993 in LaGrange, son of Joel C. Scott, Sr. and Deborah Ann Roberts Taylor. He had lived in LaGrange all his life and was a full time student at Troup High School where he was a rising senior. Larry was active in FFA and the Baptist Tabernacle Youth Group.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Joel and Joy Scott; mother and stepfather, Debbie and Deryl Taylor; siblings, Joel C. Scott, Jr., Jenny Scott, Jessica Brooks, Jessica McMillian, Zack Nixon, Michael McMillian, and Jackson Scott; grandparents, J.W. and Vassie Roberts, Patricia Roberts, Judy Scott, and Larry Scott; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Friday, August 20, 2010 at Teaver Road Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Reeves, Reverend Howard Longshore, and Rev. Danny McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Baptist Tabernacle on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
