Johnny Mack Lockard Sr.

Mr. Lockard was born December 24, 1949 in Frost Proof, FL, son of the late Clarence Lockard and Valerie Newman Lockard. Mr. Lockard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, 173rd Airborne Brigade Sky Soldiers, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was employed with Venture Express Trucking before retiring. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lockard was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Delmar Curry and Leon Jernigan.

Mr. Lockard is survived by his wife, Sandra Lockard; children, Valarie “Cricket” Lockard, Crystal Bonner, Johnny (Nichole) Lockard Jr., Felicia Lockard, Heather Moody, and Kyle Noles; grandchildren, Johnny Lockard III, Kameron Lockard, Kayne Lockard, Aaron McAdams, Austin McAdams, Britney Haggard, Shyanne Brewer, Jake Brewer, Kynleigh Lockard, Bowden Lockard, Nila Lockard, Kayla Moody, Khloe Moody, Hazeleigh Noles, and Ariana Adams; great granddaughter, Ava; brother, Don Lockard; sisters, Margaret Curry and Patricia Jernigan; special sister-in-law, Sue Whatley; and several nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA with Rev. Brad Thompson officiating. Graveside service with military honors will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
