“JD” as he was affectionately known, was born January 11, 1944, in Toccoa, GA, son of the late Albert and Alma Milford Davis. Mr. Davis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and the Army Reserves. He was a proud member of Lakeview Baptist Church as well as the Union Masonic Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Davis received his formal education at the University of Georgia. He worked for several years delivering mail for the United States Postal Service.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Turner Davis; sons, Len (Ashley) Davis and Mark (Jolene) Davis; grandchildren, Clay Davis, Jill Davis (Josh) Vega, Chase (Leila Moss) Davis; great grandson, Gabriel Vega; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Lakeview Baptist Church with Pastor Lamar Truitt officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests that love offerings be made to Lakeview Baptist Church in memory of James David Davis.
