Dr. Wittman was born January 5, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Russell Stanley Wittman and Ruth Sumser Wittman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma M. Rasmussen Wittman. Dr. Wittman spent his entire career in the Ministry, serving as pastor of Independent Bible Church and serving with many missionary groups.
Survivors include a daughter, Joy (Javier) Zamora and their children, Michael, Matthew, and Melody Joy; son, Jonathan (Sue) Wittman and their children, Kaitlyn and Kurtis; daughter, Gayle McMillian (Terry McMillian, deceased Aug 4, 2012) and their children, David and Shane; daughter, Faith (Michael) Morrell and their children, Joshua, Kevin, Josiah, and Micah; son, Andrew (Kim) Wittman and their children, Drew, Jack, and Michaela; and Peter (Liz) Wittman and children, Alex, Jordyn, and Kylie; and 13 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2020 in Restlawn Memory Gardens, LaGrange, GA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Frederick R. and Norma M. Wittman Trust, 208 Village Drive, LaGrange, GA 30240. This trust was created by Dr. Frederick and Mrs. Norma Wittman and is distributed to ministries that spread the gospel.
