Chris was born May 15, 1960 in LaGrange, GA, son of the late Calvin William Studdard and Bobbie Sue Truitt Studdard. He was a faithful member of Creekside Baptist Church, were he served as the Minister of Music. Chris deeply loved to share the gospel, traveling many miles throughout the past 55 years singing with the Christian Aires and various groups. He was a member of the Chattahoochee Valley Gospel Music Association in Columbus and recently partnered and began JNC Promotions that scheduled gospel singings in the area. Chris was a huge wrestling fan and could name all the old wrestlers. Chris will be greatly missed by all that knew him and enjoyed his wonderful voice.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Gayle Knight Studdard; stepsons, Wayne (Nichole) Webb and Johnny (Laurie) Webb; grandchildren, Jacob (Carsyn) Webb, Brandon Webb and Kevin Webb; one great grandson (on the way); uncle, James (Diana) Rice; several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. The Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00am Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Danny Jeter, Rev. Bryan Jeter, Rev. Olin White and Rev. Ken May officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Creekside Baptist Church or the Southern Gospel Association in memory of Chris Studdard.
