Alice was born January 22, 1962 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of the late Kenneth Eugene Burson and Ollie Belle Jones Burson. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Alice received her Masters Degree from LaGrange College and was employed as a teacher with the Troup County School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Burson.
Survivors include her husband, Ansley "Andy" Earl Koone; son, Kenneth (Brittany) Koone; grandchildren, Cayden Koone and Weston Koone; sisters, Eugenia (Joe) Dumais and Sue Frampton; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Celebration of Life services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 15, 2019 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA with Rev. Charles Chapman and Rev. Max McCord officiating. Entombment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. The gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Mrs. Alice Marie Koone.
