I am sure Eddie is sitting behind the Dodger dugout for every post season game...

Just remembering my big brother. You always listened to me and were supportive. I miss you!

Eddie most certainly was at the Dodgers game in San Francisco when they won 2 - 1.

Miss his warmth, compassion and passion for sports.

Our loss was Heaven's gain...

Eddie will bring the Dodgers to the World Series again.

Dear Torrence Family,
Our hearts go out to you as you celebrate Ed's life. 
I sat next to him, Mary and John at Nancy Upmeier's service and brought home with me such joy knowing our families were connected in such a special way via the friendship of my grandfather and grandmother and your parents. You could see the strong bond between the Torrence siblings. I'm grateful for the afternoon we spent together. 
My dad is also very touched by the friendship and always speaks so very highly of your family.
The world has lost a lovely human.

I played in three different softball leagues with Ed over many years.  We’d always have very lively and enjoyable discussions about his beloved Dodgers vs my Padres, and his conservative politics vs my liberal politics.  He was one of the brightest people I’ve ever known.  He will be greatly missed.

Didn't know Kevin to much but I remember while playing senior softball in La Mesa I hit the scoreboard and Kevin came running up to me and asked me if I was on a team yet and I told him I just started, he then said "I need you on my team" he was always very friendly and I can tell he knows his baseball.
Great Man....

A gentle soul and a fine craftsman, Ed will be remembered and missed by his shipmates at the San Diego Ship Modelers Guild.

Ed served as our Guild Master 2018-2019 and has been an active member and Officer of the Guild for many years.

Ed turned into a good friend that I met through the Sons of the American Revolution.  We were inducted on the same day.  In fact, he was the first person I spoke to at that meeting.

I really got to know Ed while we served together on the SAR Chapter Board of Directors.  He helped me and taught me more than I can explain.

Earlier this year, we rode together to the annual Massing of the Colors event in Los Angeles.  On the ride, we talked about baseball (both Dodger fans almost from birth), what we've done in our lives, and where we've lived.  Come to find out, we lived about a mile apart from each other separated by a decade or two.  We both lived in Orange, just at different times.

Ed is one of the finest men I've ever known. Calm and steady, but did things with purpose and conviction.  He is missed.

Ed is my oldest brother, he was always there for me growing up, taught me to drive, took me to my father and daughter dinner dance in high school when our Dad was working so hard, And walked me down the aisle when I married my husband.  I was able to tell him when I was upset, sad, and angry. He listened to me.  My heart is broken, but I pray every day that he will have a seat at his heavenly table. 

Ed was one of the kindest, warmest human beings one could ever befriend.  He had a genuine interest in helping others in our senior softball league, and excelled as an athlete.

I was thinking about Ed before he passed away as his beloved Dodgers were in the World Series.  Ed had once shared a story about when he went to a Dodger fantasy camp, and after getting a hit he was on first base next to Steve Garvey.  It was told as if it was yesterday.

Ed will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.  From what I read he was blessed with a large, loving family.  My condolences go out to all of you.
 
I know Ed will be in one of those empty seats at the balance of the Dodgers World series Games.
