Dennis was born in San Diego, California in 1947 and was a lifelong San Diego County resident. He and his wife, Mary, were married in 1973 and have enjoyed 40 years of marriage. He graduated from San Diego State University with honors in history, and was a public school teacher for the Sweetwater Union High School District for 35 years before retiring in 2005. He had many hobbies throughout his lifetime including music (singing, playing keyboard and composing), astronomy, stamp collecting, 3-D television, reading and collecting movies. He enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Texas, British Columbia, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He liked to cook and especially loved Mexican food. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
