Willaim ‘Bill” Henry Yartz, 71, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in his residence. Bill was born December 31, 1945 in Kansas City, MO to Albert Henry Yartz and Florence Stroth Yartz. Bill worked for the Hidalgo County Irrigation District for over 48 years before retiring. He follow in his father’s footsteps. Bill was a Veteran of the Viet Nam war, having served his country in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Ann Yartz of Mercedes; son, Kenny Albert Yartz of Mercedes; and brother, James Kingdom Yartz of Mercedes. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Lana K. Yartz. Visitation hours will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Heavenly Grace Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 @ 10 am in Heavenly Grace Chapel. Burial will follow in Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
