Maria Duran, born September 30th, 1930, quietly passed on the morning of December 25th, 2017.
She is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Isabel Benavides and her sister Celia Lozano. She is survived by her husband Pedro Duran and 9 children. Sons Luis Carlos, Hector, Peter, Fernando, Albert and Eduardo Duran, daughters Maria Irasema Cavazos, Diana Vega and Marta Leticia Valerio, 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
For over 40 years, Maria Duran was a devout Jehovah’s Witness. Her strong belief system not only influenced hundreds but also helped her endure multiple health issues with a positive attitude.
Memorial services will be held Friday December 29th, 2017 at 6:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 30755 FM 509, San Benito, TX 78586.
