Jose P Sanchez

Jose P. Sanchez was born on October 15, 1939 in Santa Rosa, Texas to the late Evaristo Sanchez and Librada Perez. At a young age, Jose learned the core values (hard work, sacrifices, commitment and devotion to the family). He learned these values from his from his parents as his older brothers and sisters.

In 1960, he married Teodora Ovalle from Santa Rosa, Tx., and together they instilled these core values to lay a strong foundation to raise their family. Jose worked for the Ballenger Construction Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his compadres but his true greatest joy was seeing his grandchildren grow before his eyes. Also, he was always ready to seize the moment for a story of his childhood and his adventures with his numerous cousins.

Jose is survived by his wife Teodora O. Sanchez (wife of 62 years). Children; San Juanita (Leobegario) Cid, Gilberto (Alicia) Sanchez, Rosa Elia Leal, Gerardo (+Esmer) Sanchez. Grandchildren; Angelica (Jenaro) Martinez, Amanda (Sergio) Lopez, Jose Gilberto (Leal) Sanchez, Ana B. Sanchez, Miguel Evaristo (Samantha) Sanchez, Omar (Lily) Cid. Siblings; Eulalia (Alonzo) Rodriguez, Ezequiel (Maria) Sanchez, Manuel (Petra) Sanchez, Elvira (Ricardo) Ruiz, Cesar Cid, Nadya Angel Leal, Gerardo Sanchez Jr. Greatgrandchildren; Sergio Salvador Lopez, Roylee Lopez, Hailey Lopez, Jaslean Marie Cid, Alejandro Cesar Cid, David Sem Sanchez, Cameron Isaias De La Rosa

He is preceded in death by his son; Jose David Sanchez, daughter in law; Esmer Sanchez, great grandson; Marcos Elim Sanchez, brothers; Jose Maria Sanchez, Eliseo Sanchez.

Honored to serve as pallbearers; Jose Gilberto Sanchez, Miguel Evaristo Sanchez, Omar Cid, Cesar Cid, Gerardo Sanchez Jr, Sergio Salvador Lopez and Roylee Lopez.

A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home. A second day of visitation will occur Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm. A Mass will take place at 1 pm Saint Mary's Catholic Church, Santa Rosa. Burial will occur Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.

Jose "Pepsi" Sanchez will be deeply missed. Until we meet again GrandPa Joe.
