Jesse Floyd Reynolds

Jesse was born in Guatemala on July 3, 1934 and was raised in the Rio Grande Valley, where he would later meet and marry his wife, Virginia Reynolds in Raymondville, Tx on May 27, 1955.

Jesse followed many endeavors throughout his life, but always took the most pride in his time spent serving the community as Fire chief and on the police force. In his retired years he could often be found tinkering in his workshop or on his tractor.

Jesse was a member of First Baptist Church La Feria where he served as a deacon for many years.

Jesse was a proud father to his 3 daughters, Diana, Barbara and Beverly. He also enjoyed being a Paw Paw to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jesse is survived by his daughters, Diana Reynolds Snow of La Feria, Tx, and Barbara Reynolds Townsend of Betram, Tx; his son in law, Philip Bame of Houston, Tx; his 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Jesse is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 67 years, Virginia Reynolds; his youngest daughter, Beverly Reynolds Bame; and his grandson, Curtis Townsend.

Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church La Feria on Wednesday, October 27th, at 1:00 PM.
