Eloise G. Wilson

Eloise G. Wilson passed away Thursday morning, September 28, 2017, at her home in Weslaco, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Lilian Golightly, sister Ann Golightly McKee, son Jack L. Wilson, Jr., and her husband of 69 years, Jack L. Wilson, Sr. She is survived by her sister Lucille Garrett of Jacksonville, Florida; her son Richard D. Wilson and daughter in law Bea Wilson of Austin; daughter Virginia Wilson Morgan and son-in-law Ronald G. Morgan of Brownsville, grandchildren John Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Leah Wilson, Brian Wilson, Mary Katherine Morgan, and Ian Morgan, as well as four great-grandchildren Logan, Josh, Lily, and Lynden.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Eloise moved to Brownsville in 1954 with her husband, Jack and their three children. She was an active member in the Brownsville Junior Service League and The Church of the Advent. They moved from Brownsville in 1967, and lived in Montgomery, Alabama until retiring back to Brownsville in 1989. She and Jack enjoyed renewing friendships, volunteering with their church, and traveling throughout Europe, Russia, Egypt, and Israel.

A memorial service will be held on October 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., at The Church of the Advent, 104 W. Elizabeth Street, Brownsville, Texas.
