Deyanira Sifuentes, aged 69, gained her wings on October 30, 2024, in Harlingen, Texas. Born on May 26, 1955, Deya was known for her loving, strong, loyal, and hard-working nature. She had a great sense of humor that brought joy to those around her.
Throughout her life, Deya dedicated herself to her job as a house cleaner while being a single mother of three. She cherished spending time with her family, going to garage sales, relaxing at the beach, and shopping at thrift stores. She especially looked forward to watching movies with her granddaughter Lily and playing Barbies and kitchen with her granddaughter Lyanna. Dining out at restaurants was a daily activity, where she enjoyed the company of family and friends.
Deya was known for her infectious laugh, a sound that could light up a room and instantly lift spirits. She had a unique gift for finding humor in everyday moments, often reminding those around her not to take life too seriously. With her quick-witted remarks and playful pranks, Deya brought comfort and joy, making even the toughest days a little brighter. When it came to family, her selflessness had no limits; she always put them first. As a mother, she was truly the best a daughter could ask for.
Deya is survived by her daughter, Tanya Cerda; spouse, Eduardo Leyva; siblings, Neyra Elizabeth Galvez, Maria de los Angeles Aguilar Flores, and Jose Angel Aguilar Lingow; and many grandchildren who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Peter Sifuentes Jr. and Jesse Sifuentes; sister, Hermelinda Aguilar; mother, Maria de la Luz Aguilar; father, Angel Aguilar de la Rosa; and husband, Pedro Sifuentes.
Deya will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
