Son of the Rev. Clarkson j Mayhew and Gladys Martin Mayhew was born in Wadsworth, Ohio.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Martin and George., his sisters Ruth Conard and Inabel Walvord. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Quata Edgerton Mayhew.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Ann, three sons Clarkson J Mayhew III, David, and Lee.
5 grandchildren, Lauren, Briana, Christopher, Erika, and Ashley Mayhew.
Mr. Mayhew spent his life as a Geophysist for 35 years with Mobil Oil Corporation. After being retired for several years and traveling the U. S. Mr. Mayhew became a certified math and science teacher at Rivera High School in Brownsville, Texas and then at Harlingen High in Harlingen, Texas.
A small family service will be held Saturday at 10 am in Heavenly Grace Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Live is being planned for September 25 at Golden Palms in the Texas Room time and date confirmation still pending.
