Angela Watt Gilbert

Angela, affectionately known as Angie or “Gigi”, departed this world on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. She was born on August 27, 1975 in Jackson, Mississippi to Janice and Steve Dempsey. She grew up in Clinton, Mississippi where she attended Clinton High School and later relocated to Harlingen, Texas with her family. She went on to earn her Vocational Nursing License at Valley Baptist Medical Center. Angie was a caring and loving soul who provided the best care for her patients as a nurse and of her family as a wife, mother, and Gigi. She loved her family and friends deeply, and loved the beach just as much.

She is survived by her Husband Scott Gilbert; children Devan Watt, Dru Watt, Dallas Gilbert; grandchildren Summer, Emily, Daidyn, Zayden, and Kaiyah.

She is also survived by her mother Janice Dempsey Scalf; step dad Jaye Scalf; father Steve Dempsey and wife Carolyn; Brother Neil Dempsey; sister in law Stephanie; step siblings Dillion Johnson and Brittany Hager, and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation for Angela will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A church will occur Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 501 E. Van Buren Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550 following will be the burial at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, TX.
