Alisia was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Felix De Jesus Sr; parents, Macario and Micaela Montes; siblings, Gilberto Montes & Juan Montes; and Great-Granddaughter Hope De Jesus.
Having lost their mother at an early age she filled the role of mother to her younger siblings, Macario, Gilberto, Esperanza, Juan, Soila and Sylvia. In 1963, she met her one and only love, Felix De Jesus Sr, and after knowing each other for only 3 months were married in Planada CA. They quickly expanded their family with three handsome sons, Felix Jr, Ezequiel and David.
Soon after, they moved back to Texas where they continued to enjoy a God centered life as proud Texans for the rest of their days. When Alisia’s beloved husband Felix passed they were one week away from celebrating their 55th Wedding Anniversary, a true LOVE STORY.
Alisia loved God with all her heart, she was dedicated and enjoyed reading and studying her bible daily. She also enjoyed adult coloring and puzzles. But she will be most remembered for being a Godly woman always ready to serve in God’s ministry alongside her husband. She loved collecting vintage brooches, pins and rare silver coins. She enjoyed singing and sharing stories with the young children of the church. As a pastor’s wife she honored and supported her husband and used her God given talents in all areas of the ministry.
The family would like to extend a very special “Thank You” to Dr. Todd Shenkenberg and his Harlingen staff and all the staff of Life Home Health, Weslaco, Texas for their support and loving care of our beloved Alisia.
