I met Rich just after I started working at Dura.
I was telling him a story about some guy getting hit by lightening at 
a Grateful Dead Las Vegas show. He waited for me to finish my story before he said, "That was me".
We became fast friends.
We would jam until the sun came up.
Rich had a heart of GOLD!
He was kind to everyone that he met.

I am so extremely sorry for the passing of your very sweet father.  I’m so pleased that he was part of Kevin’s life, albeit short lived. I loved the way he treated Kev, and truly enjoyed his happiness at your wedding.   Such a gentleman.  Such a great loss. I am so sorry for your sadness. 


Have so many memories of you Rich.
From Dura, to you stopping by the house for visits dropping off beer from Shorts. Always enjoyed being around you and hearing your adventures in Hawaii.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Rich, AKA the kite man.  He was a great person who always took life to the limit and loved every minute of it.
May he rest in peace.

Rich was a mentor and a friend. He was one of the most talented people I knew. 
He was living the dream. Something we all should do. 
You will be missed!

My condolences to Rich’s family…..I’m so sorry for your loss. Rich was my first boss at Dura back in 1995 and was such a kind and easy-going guy. I hope his family finds comfort in the wonderful memories they have of Rich.

I am so very sorry to hear of Rich's passing.   I worked with him for many years at Dura, and thought of him as a younger brother.  He was a very old soul, patient and happy.  He was the first person I ever ran across who was truly a fan of The Grateful Dead.  I can remember being so very surprised by someone a few years younger than me being such a fan.  I hadn't seen him since he left for Hawaii, but thought of him often.  Condolences to everyone.
