James Radcliffe Bailey (Jim) passed away at home on November 18, 2024. Born on May 19, 1948 in Honolulu, Jim lived his life dreaming big, working diligently and establishing a place to call home on the land he cherished.
Jim was appreciated for his dependability, attention to detail and an unwavering work ethic. His work as a builder was a testament to his belief in creating something enduring, beautiful and meaningful.
With vision and determination, Jim helped transform family land in Kilauea into a personal paradise. The property is a sanctuary filled with fruit trees, laughter and memories; a place that reflects his deep love of the land and family. Whether he was out on the greens enjoying a round of golf, tending to the land or spending time with nearby family, Jim always found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Amelia and Robert Bailey, brother Cliff Bailey and brother-in-law Gary Blaich. He leaves behind a family who adored him: daughter Brooke (Johnny Wiskerchen), sister Beryl Blaich, sister-in-law Fahy Bailey, brothers Speedy (Pauline) and John (Karla) Bailey and many beloved nieces and nephews.
