Ronald George Norris, 67, Kokomo, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at his home. He was born April 21, 1947, in Coquille, Oregon, to Simon and Lennie (Hawkins) Norris.
He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 and later worked at General Motors for thirty years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Local UAW 292.
He is survived by two daughters, Natalie (Dennis) Chapman, Kokomo, and Jennifer (Don) Norris-Wichmann, Kokomo; two sons, Tresh (Megan) Norris, Ellettsville, Indiana, and Brent (Amanda) Norris, Russiaville; twelve grandchildren, Kristina (Matt) Miller, Austin Chapman, Ronald Miller-Norris, Jacquelyn, Jeremiah, and Jade Rhoades, Quinn, Keaton, and Casey Norris, and Ashley, Chandler, and Lauren Norris; three great-grandchildren, Isaac Miller, Bella Miller, and Anthony Chapman; and one brother, Larrell Norris, Kokomo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; fiancée, Peggy Stahl; his children’s mother, Bonita “Penny” Norris; and sister, Carolyne Cardwell.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with military honors. Messages of condolence may be expressed online at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
