Marvin Eugene Rose, 81, Kempton, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014, at his home. He was born September 13, 1933, in Tipton County, to Ross Emil and Margaret R. (Curtis) Rose. On August 22, 1964, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kokomo, he married Louise Anne (Day) Rose, and she survives.
He served in the United States Army serving at West Point Academy and later worked for Cuneo Press in Kokomo, FMC of Tipton, and Quick Delivery of Greenfield as a truck driver, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed farming, motorcycles, staying at his lake cottage, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael (Robin) Rose, Ft. Wayne, and Mark Rose, Tipton; three grandchildren, Jessica (Ian) Maxton, Caleb Munson, and Olivia Rose; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carolyn Baker.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Jeff Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Baptist Church.
