Juanita "Nita" A. Williams, 94, passed away on July 7th, 2019 at Golden Living Center in Kokomo. She was born to George and Rebeca Federspill on September 14th, 1924 in Kokomo.
Nita married John R. Williams on June 17th, 1951, and he preceded her in passing __.
Nita was a longtime and active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. In the past, Nita belonged to the Mother of Twins Club. She had a green thumb and loved indoor plants, especially African violets. She never missed a Duke and IU basketball game on television. She loved to watch her soap operas and QVC as well. Nita was the adoptive grandmother of the neighborhood, and loved her own grandchildren dearly.
Nita leaves behind her children John R. Williams, Kathy Williams, and Rita (Denny) Cline; grandchildren Sarah Williams, Lindsey Pascoff, and Danielle Cline; sisters Rebecca Dibble and Dee Gordon; and special family friend, Steve Wisehart, who was like a son to Nita and John.
Nita is preceded in passing by her parents George and Rebeca; her husband John; 4 brothers Keith Whiteman, Bernard, George, and Joe; and 3 sisters Polly, Mary Louise, and Theresa.
Friends and family may visit from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 10th at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 PM that evening. A funeral Mass will take place Thursday, July 11th, at 11:00 AM, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 1204 North Armstrong Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901. Juanita will be laid to rest at Shiloh Cemetery following the service.
