John Paul Day

John Paul Day, 67, of Kokomo passed away at his home on Monday, May 28, 2018. Born March 16, 1951, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Lucille (Sapp) Day. On September 3, 1977, he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Scott who preceded him in death on March 21, 2010. John retired from Chrysler. He loved listening to music at local parks and at Jamie’s Soda Fountain. John enjoyed watching westerns and WWE wrestling, playing games and visiting with friends and family. John is survived by his sons who he raised from the time they were little: Scott (Tracy) and Mike (Martha) Warner as well as grandchildren Samantha Leonard; Korey (Shelby), Miranda (Dustin), Madison, and Justin Warner; Coy, Dru, Mae, and Wyatt Brandon. He had one great-grandson, Kamdin. He is also survived by his beloved sister Wanda and her husband Frank Schmidlin. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers (Raymond, Ernest, Robert, and Russell), and sisters (Mary Smith, Delores Roe, and Neva Williams). Visitation will be from 11-1 at Ellers Mortuary at 725 S. Main Street in Kokomo with the funeral at 1 pm on Saturday, June 2. Burial will be at Kokomo Memorial Park immediately following the service.
