James Allen Beckner

James Allen Beckner, 87 of Kokomo passed away on April 13, 2016 at Aperion Care. He was born August 23, 1928 to Jessie and Tilda Beckner in Jacksonville, Florida. On November 4, 1960 he married the love of his life Doris Beckner; she survives and lives in Kokomo. James enjoyed riding his Gold Wing Motorcycle and was a member of the Gold Wing Club. He enjoyed traveling. He and Doris visited all fifty states. They enjoyed their travels to every state including Alaska and Hawaii. James is survived by his wife Doris; three sons, Benny (Donna) Beckner of Live oak, Florida, John (Nancy) Beckner, Bunker Hill and Philip (Angie) Beckner ,Russiaville. Also surviving are one daughter, Linda Bice, Marshall Texas, one brother Paul (Shirley) Beckner, Russiaville; one sister, Dorothy Justice, Zepher Hills, Florida; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Tilda Beckner; two brothers Roy and Johnnie Beckner and one sister Minnie Frazer. Visitation hours will be held Monday April 18, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p. m. at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday April 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral home 2097 W. Alto Rd Kokomo. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
