Helen J. Haworth, 80, of Kokomo, passed away at 9:16 AM Monday August 27, 2018 at her residence. Born December 14, 1937 in Howard County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Watson and Alta (Thomas) Watson. She married Charles "Chuck" Haworth, and he preceded her in death in 1992. She was co-owner and operator of Chuck's Donuts for 30 years. She also worked at Richards Restaurant for 23 years and Bob Evans for 10 years. She loved QVC and the Home Shopping Network.
Survivors include one son Charles Haworth Jr. of Kokomo; three daughters Diana Sweeney, Debra (Randy) Turner, and Jane (Mike) Wilson, all of Kokomo; one brother Rex "Sonny" (wife-Joyce) Watson; one sister Barbara Mullins; her companion of 20 years, James Lowery of Kokomo. Helen always had an unbreakable bond with her granddaughter Joan and her great grandson Keagan Haworth. She was also survived by 10 grandchildren, over 20 great grandchildren, and over 10 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters Kathy Haworth and Barbara Sharp, one brother Ralph Watson, three grandchildren, and two sons-in-law.
The family wants to especially thank Great Lakes Hospice and Comfort Keepers for the care given to Helen.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday August 31, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo. Pastor Jeff Sexton will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the mortuary.
