Eugertus B "Junior" Zimmerman, Jr., 76, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on November 7, 2022. He was born on March 28, 1946 in Russell Springs, KY the son of Eugertus B., Sr. and Vella Zimmerman (Wade).
Junior was previously married to Carolyn (Bates) Zimmerman for 45 years and together raised three children, Todd, Scott and Tammy. Junior owned several businesses throughout the Kokomo community. He was a union carpenter by trade and started Z&H Construction. Junior and Carolyn had a passion for helping others in the community, most significantly supporting "We Care". Junior was a legendary pool player who also owned the Tom Thum Tavern and part owner of the Hideout and enjoyed spending time with friends there. He loved golfing and was a member of several courses. He often traveled to Las Vegas with friends and family. Junior owned several race horses over his lifetime and enjoyed watching them run. He also enjoyed spending time in Florida golfing and cruising on his yacht with family and friends.
Surviving relatives include his children, two sons, Todd Pounds (Suzanne) of Noblesville, IN; Scott Pounds (Kelly) of Carmel, IN; daughter, Tammy Neal (Pat) of Kokomo, IN; grandchildren, Derek Pounds (Shara) of Kokomo, IN; Kristin Pounds of Kokomo, IN; Joshua Pounds (Katie) of Brooklyn, NY; Jordan Sanson (Chris) of Westfield, IN; Jack Pounds of Westfield, IN; Matthew Neal of Westfield, IN; Caleb Neal of Lexington, KY; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Pounds; Aubrey King; Addilyn Pounds; Zaylin King; Charlee Pounds; Finnley Sanson; three brothers, John Zimmerman (Joann) of Indianapolis, IN; Dennis Zimmerman (Kathy) of Kokomo, IN; Phillip Zimmerman of Logansport, IN; sister, Jerri Mohr of Florida; special friend, Jill Jeffries of Kokomo, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Daniel “Rowdy” Zimmerman and sister Faye Chastain.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at The Banquet Room at the American Legion, 2604 South Lafountain Street, Kokomo, IN 46902. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to “We Care”.
