Carl Monroe Fowler

Carl Monroe Fowler, 77, passed away on Saturday December 16, 2017 at his home, with family by his side. Carl was born on January 19, 1940 to Bernard and Fae Fowler, in Fulton County, Indiana. He graduated from Media High School in 1958. Carl served our county in the United States Navy for four years, then went on to work at Chrysler as a machine repairman for 37 years.
He married Sue Fowler on July 8, 1995, and she survives.
Carl was a lifetime member of the VFW, and a member of the Post #6 American Legion. Carl enjoyed all sports, particularly golf. He gardened and grew beautiful day lillies in many varieties, which he shared with his family. There was nothing Carl loved more than his family.
Carl is survived by his wife, Sue Fowler; children Tom (Katherine) Henry, Debbie (Stan) Grimes, Sandi (Rick) Anderson, Rick (Minna) Henry, Tim Fowler, Theresa (Gary) McGee, Mark (Melinda) Beers, Christina Picketts, and Gillian (Shawn) Miller; brothers Glen and Burl Fowler; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Carl is preceded in passing by his parents; his sister Caroline Carroll, and brother Morris Lee Fowler.
Friends and family may call from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901. A funeral service with military honors will follow at 5:00 PM, officiated by Pastor David Osborne.
