Anna May Reitenour(99) went in Peace to be with her Lord Jesus Christ in the early hours of September 1, 2024. She was born on August 22, 1924 in Manhasset, Long Island, N.Y., to Peter D. Kief and Anna K. Kief.
On December 2, 1945 Anna May was joined in marriage to Howard Hale Reitenour at Christ Church of Manhasset, New York. She is survived by their two daughters, Nancy Ann Wicker and Barbara Jean Conradt(Chris) and by four grandchildren, Cate Waggoner-Lee(Brian), Brian C. Conradt(Tracy), Patrick H. Conradt(Heather), and Lisa A. Bane(Ryan). Eleven great-grandchildren: Elsey and Allie Waggoner, Lexi and Jackson Lee; Nora and Spencer Conradt; Ethan, Aiden and Sophia Conradt; and Vivian and Violet Bane.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hale Reitenour, in 2005, and her siblings, Dorothy, Barbara and Peter.
Anna May was a sweet and precious lady. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Always interested in helping others. She had been a Girl Scout Leader, club secretary for St. Anne’s Guild, and a volunteer tutor at McKinley School. Anna May loved traveling with Howard. The Reitenours were supporters of the Indian Children and families of the Rosebud Indian Reservation and the American Indian Association. Anna May was a member of the St. Anne’s Guild, the Order of St. Luke the Physician, St. Joseph and Howard Community Cheer Guilds, Boy Scouts of America, and the Girl Scouts of America. Active at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, she enjoyed Footloose and Fancy Free, St. Anne’s Guild meetings and singing in the choir for many years.

A memorial service will be held for Anna May at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 602 W. Superior St., Kokomo. Tuesday September 19th at 4:00 PM with visitation with her family beginning at 2:00 PM.
