WILLIAM E. WILMOTH “PAPAW BILL” age 90 of Knoxville, went to live with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 4, 2015. Bill was a WWII Veteran and was employed at Southern Railway until retirement. He was loved and respected by everyone that knew him. He taught Sunday School at Ball Road Baptist Church for many years. His favorite saying was, “One of these day’s I’m gonna face my Boss, suffer my loss, eat my supper and get on my hoss”. He will be greatly missed! We wish to thank the staff and nurses at Ben Atchley State Veteran’s Home for the excellent care he received while in their care. Bill was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Lissie Williford Wilmoth; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Gary Collins; son, Jack Wilmoth; step-son, Jason Austin. Survived by his loving wife, Helen Austin Wilmoth of 27 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Sherrie Wilmoth of Knoxville and Ed and Sandy Wilmoth of Sevierville; grandchildren, Wayne Collins, Shane Collins, Sheila Wilmoth Floyd, Jennifer Wilmoth and Billy Wilmoth; several great and great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at their convenience 1-5 pm Monday at Weaver Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Tuesday at New Gray Cemetery for an 11 am Graveside Service. Rev.
