SHARP, WILLIAM (Bill) ALEXANDER – age 88 of Knoxville, passed away at home on March 20, 2012 member of Cornerstone Christian Church and a volunteer at Baptist Hospice. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Preceded in death by wife Shirley Carr Sharp; parents William S. Sharp and Myrtle Solomon Sharp; and sister Elizabeth Bryce. Survived by sons Rusty (Terry) Sharp and Jeff Sharp; daughter Karen E. (Tom) Montgomery; grandchildren Amanda Sharp McCarty, Sabrina Sharp, Ashley Sharp, and Will Montgomery; great grandchildren Austyn, Charlie, and Gwenna; nieces Suzy, Jill, and Melissa; and his best friend Miss Roxy. Family will receive friends at Weavers Friday, March 23, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm and a 7:00 pm chapel service to follow with Minister Steve Ritter officiating.
