Rogers, William Homer, age 87, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. Homer was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. A WWII Veteran, he served in the U.S. Airforce. He was also a member of Mountain Star Lodge and retired from Trailways Bus Line. Preceded in death by parents, Andy and Mattie (Cutshaw) Rogers; brother and sister, Reo Rogers and Katherine Ramsey. Survived by wife, Marjorie Rogers; son and daughter-in-law, Rod and Rhonda Rogers; grandchildren, Edward and Julie Chaney and Richie and Jill Chaney; and 3 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ann Johnson. Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Berry Funeral Home, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at Highland South Memorial Gardens Wednesday, February 16, 2011 for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
