William (Willie, Billy Joe) was born July 26, 1978, he was the son of the late William (Billy) Henry and Alice Carol Payne.
He was a hardworking, loving and strong man that fought the cancer with everything he could. He loved to take care of his family and did everything he could to make them happy. They often took trips to the beach that became very special to them.
In addition to his wife (soulmate) Brandi Payne, he was preceded by his parents William and Carol Payne. He is survived by his children, Joseph Wheeler, Haley Torres and Kaley Torres as well as other children he considered his – Brittany Torres, Brienna Torres, Tiara Kemp and Isaiah Wheeler: his sister Frankie Moore and her husband Michael; Uncle Phillip (Pop) and Aunt Janie Payne (Mom), who became his parents after his passed away; nieces and nephews as well as many cousins that were like brothers and sisters to him.
Special thanks to Black Oak Heights Baptist church in Powell for their support and contributions to his and his family’s care. Incredibly special thanks to Tennova Hospice for all the support, care and love that they treated him and all of us with, it was the best care that he received in his long battle.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 16, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the parlors of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN.
There will not be a funeral service, a celebration of life will be held later this year.
