Violet Jane West

Violet Jane West, age 94 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 12, 2018. She was a faithful member of Ridgeview Baptist Church for over 55 years where she sang in the choir and supported all the church activities. She was well known for her cooking, gardening and canning. She was a seamstress with Wellington Gallery and finished her career with Cleveland Interiors. She was preceded in death by husband of 61 years, Carl Martin West; daughter-in-law, Doris Anne West.

Mrs. West is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, David of Boaz, AL, Dennis and Michelle West of Knoxville; grandchildren Shay Mardis (Andy) of Boaz, AL, Martin West (Kim) of Cedartown, GA, Clarissa Bowden (Ian) of Boaz, AL, Andrew West and Shelby West of Knoxville; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Earl Walker of Knoxville. Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 4 to 6 PM at Ridgeview Baptist Church, 6125 Lacy Road Knoxville. The funeral service will follow with Bro. David McGill

officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday at 10:45 AM at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11AM graveside service.
