Sue was one of 6 children and all siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Bill of 68 years and her daughter Karen Marquand and husband Brent. Sue had three lovely grandchildren who were very dear to her. She is survived by grandson Zach Marquand and his wife Catherine and their two handsome sons Elliot and Dashiell. Also survived by granddaughter Chelsea and her husband Kyle and their two beautiful daughters Livia and Abigail. And survived by grandson Trevor. She also had many nieces and nephews who were very important to her. Sue was a member of Farragut Presbyterian Church but was unable to attend the last few years due to the decline in her health brought on by dementia. Her husband Bill was by her side throughout her life including through all the challenges that dementia brings. Sue’s most treasured moments were when she was spending time with her family. We will all miss sharing stories and laughing together when gathered around the table. In her own words the most valuable lessons she was taught “were honesty, integrity, respect for myself and others, and a belief in God.” All who knew and loved her saw how those values were exemplified by the life she lived.
Thank you to the staff of Autumn Care West and to the dedicated Hospice workers who helped care for Sue over the past 3 years. A graveside service will be held for family only at Berry Highland Memorial.
