McNutt, Stephen Thomas, (Stumpy), age 61, of Townsend, formerly of South Knoxville, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at UT Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked as an insurance agent for Life of Georgia and also the Knoxville Police Department. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Steve was preceded in death by parents, Tom and Dorothy McNutt; and brother, Eddie McNutt. He is survived by his loving wife, Violet McNutt; son, Bradley Hutchison; daughter, Hailie Houser; daughter and son-in-law, Kirsten and Jason Reagan; grandchildren: Natalie, Devin, and Katie; very close friend and family members, Steve and Pam Dyer; numerous cousins, family members, and friends. Family and friends will meet at Highland South Cemetery on Wednesday at 10:00 AM for graveside services, Rev. Tom King officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by Volunteer State Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
