Ron C. Whitten Jr.

Whitten, Ron, age 45, of Maryville, passed away August 5, 2011 at UT Hospital. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. He was a landscaper and owned his own business. Ron had a strong faith in his Savior, Jesus. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, loving son and brother, and faithful friend to all. He was a joy to be around. He is survived by his wife of 14 years: Kathy Whitten, 9 year old daughter: Mary Ruth Whitten, 7 year old daughter; Jenny Lynn Whitten. Parents: Ron and Joyce Whitten Sr., Knoxville, Tennessee. Brother Jon Whitten and wife Tammy, Knoxville, Tennessee. Sister: Tanya Dill and husband Corky of Kingston. Grandmother: Mary Ellen Whitten – New Smyrna Beach, Fl. Several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Funeral service 8:00 PM, Monday, August 8, 2011, Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Dr. Hollie Miller and Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 AM Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Thorngrove Cemetery for graveside services. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to a trust fund that will be used for the children in care of Sevier Heights Baptist Church, 3232 Alcoa Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920.
