The best papaw a girl could ask for.  I am so thankful I was able to know you and to love you. I will forever cherish our memories together! I know you will be with me through nursing school, using your stethoscope. I am forever grateful and I love you with everything in me. My heart will cry for you but I know you are dancing with Jesus, as we speak. You will always be remembered but NEVER forgotten. 💙🕊️🤍

Our hearts and minds, in the death of someone we love, cannot really imagine how deeply it will affect us until the moment actually comes. Yours' is heavy on my heart cousin - but, it is well with my soul- because I know of the teaching and love your mother instilled in you while you were young. The teaching and the love of Jesus.
 I came to visit and say, "so long for now"  and witnessed a beautiful send-off service to honor you.  Bold & beautiful flowers, songs from the heart that reflected your family, your life, you as a "real" dad, a devoted husband, a genuine friend.  Just what God ask for.   As I watched the memories unfold in pictures, I seen a wonderful, loving family whom stayed with you until you crossed over. Such a wonderful legacy.

Roger always looked out for me. He was kind to me, sometimes when even my own family wasn't. One memory that sticks out was just after my mother passed 10 years ago. Roger was one of the few people who didn't underestimate me. He said he didn't think I was weak, and that meant more to me than all the prayers and condolences. That taught me an important lesson. Sometimes in times of trouble, we needed to be reminded how strong we are. It seems only fair that I return the favor now. You're not weak, and you will find the courage to face this. I believe in you, all of you.

You were my first love, my protector, my hero … how in the world am I suppose to live without you? Loosing you left  the biggest hole in my heart but do find peace knowing you met Jesus and your momma with open arm . You now are pain free with a new body and constant joy. We are so much alike and I know you will live on through the better parts of me. I love you with all my heart and will make sure you are never forgotten until we meet again ❤️

Sorry to hear of Roger's passing. I worked with him at SeaRay in mid 80's. He was a good man and I know by conversations with him that he loved his family. Mark Koontz

Roger always had a smile on his face. He always got along with everyone in school. He was a friend for over 50 years and will be missed. The reunions will not be the same.

Worked with Roger & Linda long ago at Fort Sanders. He was such a nice person and was so proud of his family. He was always kind and empathetic with the patients that we took care of. Had the privilege of seeing him and his family again recently when he was hospitalized. Everyone I worked with strived to give him the care & comfort he deserved. May he rest in peace and may God guide his family through this difficult time. Till we all meet again buddy.

What a great person heaven has opened their gates too.  My big cousin, I've grown up with, lost touch with and found again.  I've loved him my whole life. Roger, You were more than my best friends dad. You took me in as one of your own. You knew as much about me as my family did. I always felt welcomed in your home. And always knew if I ever needed anything you and Linda were always there. I remember you and Linda dancing in your kitchen one night and you told us, if you find a man that will dance in the kitchen anytime you wish he's a keeper! I found my midnight dancer! My Mother Judy Rose is going to miss talking to you and miss seeing you  and Linda coming up to  Jefferson  City to spend  time with Linda and going to Macot  to buy  so good hotdogs and  Fries and going over to my Daughter house to see her and Maggie  Mea for a while  before  going home you we be miss very much
