Robert E. DeBusk, age 91 of Knoxville passed away on December 23, 2016. He was the son of the late Harvey and Stevia DeBusk. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother John DeBusk. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII as an Electricians Mate 3rd Class. He was a private pilot and former flight instructor; an electrician by trade; motion picture operator, and a Labor Consultant for Knoxville Building Trades. Mr. DeBusk was a 65 year member of IBEW local 760; a 69 year member of the Masonic Order, a 32nd Degree K.C.C.H. Mason, Scottish Rite, and a member of the Kerbela Shrine. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Ernestine DeBusk; sons: Danny DeBusk and wife Katrina, Kenny DeBusk, Eddie DeBusk and wife Gail; daughter Debbie Duncan and husband Steve; Grandsons: Derek and Ryan Duncan as well as Bradley, David, Kevin, Brent, Preston, Brian and Adam DeBusk; twelve great grandchildren; cousin, Suzanne Davis, Mobile, Alabama; and special friends: Shelia Strunk, Carol Yearwood, Melissa Yarber, Ann Emert and Penny Faulkner. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the chapel of Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. A Funeral Service for Mr. DeBusk will follow at 8:00 pm. Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 am in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Everyone is asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 am to go in procession.
