Rev. Paul A. Walker

Walker, Rev. Paul (PA) of Knoxville, passed away August 21, 2015 at 2:25 am. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. He was also a Charter Pastor and member of First Baptist Church, Brock St. He pastored several churches in the Knoxville area and served in the U.S. Army. Rev. Walker had a radio ministry with WKXV 99 am. He preached his last sermon June 15, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, Alzie and Roxie Walker; brothers, Ernest, Carl, and Ben Walker; sisters, Mildred Herron and June Rodgers. He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Mary Daugherty Walker (Nell); daughter, Brenda (Eddie) Jenkins; son, Dennis Walker; grandchildren, Deanna Jenkins, Asia and Grant Walker; great grandchildren, Angelo and Olivia Young; sisters, Edna (Sherman) Nowling and Sue Walker; brothers, Doyle (Shelba) Walker and Allen (Darlene) Walker; sister-in-law, Claudine Daugherty of Indiana; brother-in-law, John Shelton; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Rev. Steve Grindstaff (Florence). The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Dr. Reece for the great care they provided Paul and to all Hospice nurses. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 – 8 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. The service will follow with Rev. Justin Pratt, Rev. Steve Grindstaff, and Rev James Graves officiating. Music by Rev. Jimbo Duncan. Family and friends will meet at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home at 9:45 am for the 10 am interment in Lynnhurst Cemetery with full military honors.
