Layne, Doug, age 56 of Sevierville passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, March 26, 2011. He was a member of Cornerstone Biker Ministry. He was preceded in death by brothers, Rodney and Roger Mullins and biological mother, Verna Mullins. Survivors include his beloved girlfriend, Gina Proffitt; children: Paul Miller and fiancé Tiffany Sharp, Heather Lambert, Candice Layne, Katherine Schaffer and Stephanie Layne; grandchildren, Cheyanne, Jayden, Kelley, Brianna, Brian Jr., Tyson, Layla, Jerry Lee, Joshua, Sierra and Skylar; step-grandchildren: Hannah, Halie and Aaron; parents, Millard and Edna Jeffries; sisters: Linda Fields, Janet Cox, Deborah Miller; brothers, Kevin Layne, Jeff Mullins, Tony Mullins and William Mullins; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, cousins and special friends. The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Wednesday, March 30th at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11am with Rev. Rick Clabo officiating.
