Scott Foster was born on October 13, 1946 in Oak Ridge, TN and went to be with our heavenly father on March 21, 2017 after suffering a traumatic head injury from an accidental fall. He attended Knoxville West High School (class of 1965) and Riverside Military Academy prep school. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from East Tennessee State University, and his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Scott worked at Simons Eastern Engineering in Atlanta, TVA’s Nuclear Design in Knoxville, and at DOE-ORO. Scott is survived by his parents Julius & Catherine Foster; brother Tom and wife Jackie; sister Leslie Brock and husband Bill; sister Frances; nephew Chris O’Brien and finance Lan Nguyen; and niece Wendy Foster. Scott leaves behind many friends who will miss his presence along with his sense of humor and his love for dogs. Scott was an avid and skilled woodworker and an instrument-rated private pilot. He also enjoyed servicing and riding his vintage British motorcycles. Scott was a great social ballroom dancer. There will be a church service at 11:00 am on Tuesday March 28, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 6900 Kingston Pike, Knoxville with Rev Eric L. Murray & Rev Pauline Farrington-Pezzino, with receiving of friends and fellowship to follow at noon. The family will depart for the interment at 2:30 pm.
