Pamela Elia-Westfall passed away at UPMC Shadyside Hospital on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 7:37 PM. Born on November 11, 1962. She was preceded in death by parents, James and Mary Branson; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles Branson and Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Davis. Survived by her only son, Bret R. Elia and daughter in-law, Katy M. Elia, Midlothian, VA; former husbands, Richard Elia, Beaver Falls, PA and Clemens Westfall, Charleston, WV; her mother, Peggy Branson, Knoxville, TN; brothers, David Branson, Honaker, VA and Brian Branson, Blackhawk, CO; sisters, Robin Conte (Jeff Conte), Salisbury, NC and Jamie Kinsman, Carlsbad, CA. She also leaves behind nieces, Lauren Womack, Petersburg, VA and Alexis Kinsman, Carlsbad, CA; nephew, Christopher VonEhrenfried, Dallas, TX; and a special friend, Kevin Osborn, Nitro, WV.
Pam was a track athlete in high school and also sang in the chorus. Pam graduated from high school in 1980. She then went to work for Saxon Mortgage. After Saxon, Pam then worked for herself either by selling jewelry at the Virginia Bazaar or cleaning houses in Nitro, WV. Pam was also a nanny for the son of Elizabeth Amandus, Zeke Amandus. Pam throughout her life enjoyed helping others. She would always put other people’s needs in front of her own.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr. Knoxville, TN 37918. A celebration of Pam’s life will follow at 7:00PM. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 PM to go in procession to the cemetery. Flowers are much appreciated but in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108.
