Elizabeth Payne Chadwell, age 82, of Knoxville, passed away June 1st. She was preceded in death by husband James A. Chadwell; her parents Samuel H. Payne and Margaret Lowe Payne; sister Lena Jo Rymer and brothers: W.J., L.D., Alexander (Abe) and Charles Payne. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Powell, and the retired owner of Chadwell Meats. Survivors include her daughters: Susan Chadwell Stanley and Sharon K. Chadwell (Steve Mays); granddaughter Shellie Stanley Clapp and husband Wes Clapp; great grandson Brayden T. Clapp; sister, Beverly Kington, along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:30 - 5:30 pm in the chapel of Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with a Funeral Service following at 5:30 pm. Interment will be held on Monday, June 6th at 11:00 am in Greenwood Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the gravesite for the service.
