A 1968 graduate of Rockland High School, Mitchell went on to attend the Porter School of Engineering and Design. He began his career in kitchen and bath design before transitioning into concrete masonry construction. For 35 years, he was a dedicated professional in the log home industry and also pursued work in real estate. An avid genealogist, Mitchell was a passionate contributor to WikiTree, where he shared his love for family history and heritage.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Dean. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Patterson Watson; his sister, Carol Watson Copithorne, and brother-in-law, Dr. Ken Copithorne; his brother, Fred Watson, and sister-in-law, Diane Watson. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and a large extended family of children, grandchildren, stepchildren, and step-grandchildren, all of whom he held close in his heart.
Mitchell will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in Knoxville, TN.
