Mildred Thomas, age 94, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024.
She was born in Anderson County on July 22, 1930. Her family moved to Knoxville when she was a young teenager. She graduated from Knoxville Evening School in 1949. She married Lennis Thomas in 1952 and worked at Southern Bell Telephone Company as a long distance telephone operator until she left in 1956 to care for her family. She is survived by sons, Warren (Nancy) and Bruce (Pamela); niece, Carolyn Rardon; and several nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held for Mildred on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 2pm at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home following, she will be laid to rest beside her husband in Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery at 3pm.
