Moore, Mattie Elizabeth (Libby) age 89 passed away August 3, 2011 after a brief illness. She was a member of Sand Branch United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Fred D. Moore; sisters, Trula Howe and Nora Ruth Ramsey; brother, Johnie McCarter; and nephew "little Mac” Howe. She is survived by sisters: Cecil Bales, Vida Ivey, and Gerald McCarter; grandson, Tommy Oakley & wife Becky; great grandson, Samuel Oakley; special friend, Michell Edmonds; and a host of other friends and family. Libby was a waitress for over 38 years at Peroulas Resturant on Market Square. She was an avid square dancer and clogger, and she helped her husband with Scouting for many years. She also loved to sing in choir at church. Family will receive friends Monday, August 8th from 6-8pm at Sand Branch United Methodist Church. Interment will be at 10am on Tuesday August 9th at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
