Mary Lou Long, age 88, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024. She was a true homemaker with her cooking and baking talent. An accomplished seamstress, making clothes for her girls. Mary Lou also loved to quilt and crochet. She had the most generous, giving heart and showed unconditional love to her family.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by parents; sons, Tim Long and Ted Long, Jr.; grandson, Dillon Long; brother, Horace Haynes. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Ted Long, Sr.; daughters, Terri Long Bryson (Chuck Lovell) and Tammi Long Chase; grandchildren, Jason (Tiffany) Herrmann, Christopher (Kate) Bryson, Rachel Long; great grandchildren, Lydia, Sarah, and Josh Herrmann; great- great grandchild, Madlynn Whisonant.
Family will receive friends Monday, November 25th from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held for immediate family only at Greenwood Cemetery.
