Mary Elizabeth Brooks

Mary Elizabeth Brooks, age 92, of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2021. Mary retired from Prudential Insurance after 38 years. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church for 35 years. During her retirement years she enjoyed being with homebound members of the church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mary is preceded in death by husband, Ed Brooks; parents, Fird and Josie Swann; brothers Ralph, Paul, Ben, and Ken; sister Helen and son-in-law Danny Moore. She is survived by daughter Lisa Moore; granddaughter Brooke (Justin) Hirsch; great-grandson Elijah Hirsch; brother Robert Swann; nieces Patricia Swann, Pam Ballard, Sandy Cantliffe, and Teresa Hodges; several nephews and she also leaves behind a large loving group of friends and family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Benevolence Ministry at Sevier Heights Baptist Church. The family welcomes friends on Friday, from 5pm-7pm,at Berry Highland South, for a visitation with a funeral service to follow at 7pm, officiated by Rev. Charlie McNutt. Friends and family will meet Saturday, at Berry Highland South, at 10:45am for an 11am interment service.
