Maria Reyes Gervin, age 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Maria attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa and retired from Knox County school system after 21 years at Bonny Kate Elementary school. Maria was preceded in death by parents, Valentin and Tomasa Reyes; son-in-law, Bobby Nichols II; She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Floyd Edward Gervin; 5 daughters, Rosemary Hatcher, Patricia Delozier, Tammy (Gary) Spangler, Marie Nichols and Florabel Toni (Gary) Ricker; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; special friend, Ellen Craig. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 12-2 p.m. at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9110 Simpson Road, service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Father Joe Austin officiating.
